Tunda Island

Before starting my new day in the new company, I decided to take another short-open- trip. Eventhough in Indonesia it's already in rainy season, so it's really gambling whether the weather will be good or not. But then I took the chance anyway. I took another Open Trip from Ray Adventure that cost IDR 395k/person. It's slightly cheaper than other trip that I saw earlier.

Basically I already asked my friends since previous months ago about this island whether they recommended it or not before finally I took the trip. And they said this island was quite good for a short trip, just go *and prayed that the wave was not "that" challenging. Hahaha

Actually I kinda confused since the meeting point was in Serang terminal bus, and when I googled it, the journey took 3-5 hours from Jakarta. So I confused whether I should departed at night and then find cheap hotel there or just gambling with taking the dawn bus. Since he said it would be better if I took night bus and the find hotel in Serang rather than going to Kampung rambutan on dawn *But I thought he just felt unsecured because the terminal bus was quite crime-prone and there'll be only me and my girl friend (well accompany us then:p). But when I asked Alip, the tour leader, he said I could took the dawn bus and he will waiting for us. *nice TL indeed. Hahaha

So then, I started the journey from Kampung Rambutan at around 5 a.m. We took Prima Jasa with route Jakarta - Merak and costed IDR 30k. I recommended you took the bus outside the terminal, since it would took a lot of time to stop here and there. #sigh

My brother said usually the bus will took around 3-4 hours, so fortunately for me, it only took only 2.5 hours from Jakarta to Serang. Eventhough with a looot of stop, I still managed to come early than the meeting time. And after waiting for another people, we arrived in Karangantu dock at 10 am.

The sea journey itself took another 2 hour. It's a really sunny day, and I felt blessed.
Tunda Island itself located in a bay, specifically in Banten Bay. So the current was not strong and remain calm. Different from thousand island trips, the snorkeling spots were only around the Tunda island, we dont have to go to another island for snorkeling. Actually the snorkeling spots was quite good, but half of the corals were already damaged. I have to separated from others to enjoy my snorkeling time. *unfortunately I did not take underwater photos by myself, only videos.
There's a lighthouse in Tunda, but right now, we're prohibited to climb it because it's not safety.
Since I'm a sunset hunter, here're Tundas' sunsets photos..
There's limited phone signal in Tunda, almost none of it, and the electricity only available at night. It's quite a suitable island for people who wants to disappear for a moment..
On the second day, unfortunately it's raining, more into storm. But we still went for snorkeling. Since the current was quite strong in the best spot, we have to move to another spot which has... Jelly fish. Yeaayyy!! =_________=". He already told me that there'll be a spot that full of jelly fish and I must be careful of it. I was thinking not to go into water, but then back again, it's the last spot before I went home.
She said the jelly fish looked like a snot. I said it's poseidons' snot. Hahaha
And I got a "gift" from the friendly jelly fish=____=
Before we go home, I decided to take a walk to the north. They said it's the best part of the island to watch sunrise (since it's cloudy in the morning so I decided to sleep anyway). During the walk, I feel sad because it's quite a nice island but there're many garbage especially in the beach and around the island.
Our journey back to Jakarta took another 2 hours by ship and another 2,5 hour by bus. I took Arimbi bus this time and it cost IDR 28k, cheaper than Prima Jasa. Hahaha

That's all for now.. Bye from Tunda.
Ja Ne.
