It's been like,, three times of us went to Lampung Island. Twice to Pahawang, which the last time bring bad experiment with local travel agent and fortunately this time is much much better (well, eventhough the homestay still in Pahawang but at least some of the destination were different.)
Soo,, starting with another random talk we finally agreed to have another impulsive quick escape (as usual.lol). After one talk to another, we finally agreed trying to go to another destination in Lampung which not yet become too famous; Wayang Island.
At first we tried to find the trip by googling the package first. And remembering that this will be private trip (which only consist of 4 people. lol) so we have to look over the cost, and surely it will way higher than open trip or bigger private trip (since normally it need around 8-10 people to make it cheaper). We tried to contact Trippaker Lampung, but unfortunately their package was only for one day trip, which I didnt want to, but at first they didnt want to overnight in Pahawang. And finally I tried to contact one of my friend, that I knew from Dieng Trip. One of the owner of local travel whom I can make a fun of. Hahaha
I tried to contact Alief from Ray Adventure to ask about the package, with the clear brief for 3D2N. At first he said we can have the homestay in Tanjung Putus which we would be glad of. But since this is a "Tahu Bulat" trip, which means that totally sudden trip, in the end we got the homestay in Pahawang Besar, the same Island as the latest trip but must admit that the homestay was way much better. And all I could say was this Trip was overall a good trip (or I'll surely kick Alip. Hahaha)
So actually Ray Adventure havent had a package to Wayang-Legundi, but they can make it for private trip only since they already have channel and most of the local captain already knew but by request. Since Wayang Island located near off the sea so Alip said that we cant have snorkeling there and it's only for free diver doing spearfishing because of the high tide and... Shark. (woott)
Well if seeing from Lampung maps, Wayang Island was near and after Legundi Island, so, no wonder.
After discussion, Alief said that from Ketapang port to Wayang takes 2.5-3 hours using boat, which longer than regular Pahawang trip. And apparently Wayang Island is just photo spot from the boat.
Since this is the new route even the local captain need to ask first for the spot. And I brief him that we dont want to have just ordinary trip. We want to explore more to new spots. And the most important thing is: not too crowded. (and additional request was Alief as the guide. At first he said he cant join, but when the day he's the one that lead the trip. LOL)
Here's the overall rundown from him that can be changed over the time (the perks of having close trip it it):
From Ketapang Port to Wayang & Legundi for Photo.
Then snorkeling & beach time in Balak, then to the homestay (either Tanjung Putus or Pahawang Besar).
Since Sean was quite lazy to bring the fins, so we asked Alief to rent it. In total this trip costs us IDR 1,4mio/person. Yeap, twice than ordinary open trip since this was close trip with 4 people only. lol
With the meeting point was in Merak, max at Saturday 12am.
And we did come at 12 am. Hahahaha
First Day OutEventhough we came quite late in Merak Port, but surprisingly we arrived very berry early in Ketapang dock. We even can grab our breakfast (that also already provided) before starting the sea journey.

Here comes the Wayang Islands
And since it getting noon, so we decided to have lunch at Balak Island before going for snorkeling.
Seems like Sari was really looking for playing the water.
He did have the same pose since 3 years ago. Except now he got more chubby cheeks. lol
Like Alief said before we go here, people are not yet familiar with this route. So we got advantage on that since not so many other people around. We have lunch in this island just like our private island.

And since the tides is getting low and the shore is getting further, so after lunch and some lazying around we have some snorkeling time. The first spot was not too far from the island. But the rest were actually the usual spots, but since we came here in the evening so it not too crowded, quite quiet actually. So here comes the bigger dose of vitamin Sea.

Actually in the last snorkeling spot, we have to pay for the handling payment. But since we're the last ship and coming at almost sunset time, so the keeper just leave us like that and we dont have to pay any. Lucky us. Hahaha
And yes, I'm the sunset lover and hunter. So I asked Alief to have sunset. And lucky that we still can get the sunset at the right moment.
We got our sunset at Kelagian Lunik Island. Still beautiful as well.
And that's the last spot for the day..
After done with the sunset time, we went to the homestay. And apparently, 1 house that usually for 11 people, was occupied only by us. Hahahaha
After fresh water bath time, we grab our dinner that consist of fish and squid.
Second Day OutI didnt took any sunrise moment since it's raining and cloudy morning.
Day 2 started
So, Alief said that for today we'll have regular spots. That apparently really really crowded with people. And even I got expelled from my snorkeling place since other ship (that apparently cruise ship) was taking my place. Geez..
Then we asked him to get another spot, which is the last spot to replace it.
Here comes to the end of this trip.
Actually I'm not in good condition during this trip. Too many overtime before the trip. But thankfully all is well.
